The intrecciato or woven leather on Bottega Veneta’s Bronze Woven Leather Bangle makes this a very cool bracelet! The bronze-colored leather over a hard frame results in an 8-millimeter-wide bangle that can be worn alone or stacked. It’s edged and lined inside in sterling silver that still has the sticker on but is need of a polish. Not only is this a great-looking piece, it has a great back story. When Bottega Veneta began designing and creating accessories, the sewing machines in the workshops they used were meant for fabric and the needles couldn’t accommodate thick leathers. So the artisans had to use ultra-thin pieces of skin to fit under the needle which they then wove together to make a stronger and more durable piece of leather. And now you know the rest of the story!
