The richly saturated colors used to craft Hermès' La Danse du Cheval Marwari Shawl honor the Marwari, once battle and ceremonial horses of the Rajputana kingdoms of India. The 65% cashmere and 35% silk shawl depicts the horses in elaborate costumes and is dominated by purple, pink, yellow, and turquoise images. In very good condition, the shawl arrives with a box. It has some light pilling and there's a loose thread by one edge. The Marwari were on the endangered list at the turn of this century but have bounced back with the help of devoted people who worked to make sure the unique breed would be enjoyed by future generations!
